Shane Richie looks unrecognisable as he dresses up in bold eyeliner and ginger wig for drag role

Shane Richie stunned audiences in an Instagram post on Saturday when he transformed into a drag queen as he toured British theatres in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

The 58-year-old former EastEnders star looked unrecognisable under a full face of pale make-up, as well as false eyelashes, bold eyeliner and a curly ginger wig.

He continued his look with a striking red lipstick and a pair of black earrings for his quirky new role.

Currently promoting his new production, The New Victorian Theatre, he said, “I’m glad to see you, you didn’t let us down.

He is currently playing Loco Chanelle in the musical at the West End Playhouse, and he recently performed at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking.

Apparently, in his latest adventure, he wrote in a snapshot, “It’s been a pleasure. I’d like to say that we all have a common goal of making our lives better!”

Shane is known as the actor who?

Shane is best known for playing Alfie Moon in the BBC soap from 2002-2005, returning from 2010-2016, and then again from 2018-2019.

Ten years ago, the BBC made a documentary entitled Jamie: 16-year-old drag queen that inspired a vibrant musical.

It inspired a theatrical production in which Jamie, 16, lives in Sheffield with his adoring single mother but longs for the approval of his estranged father.

At his comprehensive school, everyone knows he is gay. In no case was there a closet big enough to hide him. Jamie is a flamboyant man who secretly aspires to be a drag queen.

Jamie announces that he plans to wear a dress to the end-of-year dance, which scares his teacher. You can’t do that, the teacher says.

He is supported by his mom, his best friend Pritti, and a retired drag artist once known as Loco.

The antagonists of the story are his father, the school bully, and an uptight teacher. He quickly wins over his detractors and expresses his true self as he gets older.
