Full Cap Wig for Men

In contrast to regular hair systems that cover only the top of the scalp, full cap wigs cover the entire head, including the top, sides, back, temples, sideburns, and all the places where hair should be.

Who might need a full top wig?

It is for people who are completely bald or are experiencing alopecia areata, cicatricial alopecia, alopecia areata, or you have round or patchy bald spots on your scalp that you will find difficult to cover with a standard 8”x10” hair system for bald areas. If you are one of those people, a full top wig is the best option to consider.

Sam’s experience with it.

Sam’s experience with the LaVivid Bradley full cap lace wig</p

Sam’s hair started falling out when he was 25 years old and by the time he was in his 30s he was completely bald. He tried medications and other hair loss treatments, but nothing worked. He then contacted LaVivid Hair in July 2021, who offered a non-surgical solution in the form of a full cap wig. He had never used a hair system or wig before and he wasn’t sure if it would work for him, but he decided to give it a try. He waited about 2 months to get the wig applied and cut and he was amazed at how it looked.

How do I order a full cap wig from LaVivid?

A full cap wig will be a custom order. In order to make a full cap wig that fits your head, we need you to send in a mold of your head. So, when we make the wig, we will precisely replicate the size and curvature of your head mold to ensure that the wig will fit your scalp perfectly when it is finished. You’ll find that it stays securely in place on your head, even without glue or tape bonding.

Plus, you can let us know what hair color you want, whether it’s a single hair color, a mix of different colors, highlights or lowlights.?

Then you can specify hair density, hair length, waves or curls, and any other specifications you want to customize and we will provide a quote accordingly. If you are satisfied with the quote, we will send you a payment link to place your order for your wig. You can then send us your head mold, and after we receive it, we can begin production. When it is finished, we will ship it to you.

How do I measure the size?

You need to measure 3 sizes, they are ear to ear, circumference and front to back. Write down these three measurements and refer to the table above. Once you know your measurements, you can get an overall quote from LaVivid for your full top wig.

Step 1: Determine the coverage area</p

First find where your hairline begins and use a temporary marker to leave a mark or line at that spot. Get a general idea of the entire area you want to cover, including the temple area, sideburns, and neck area.

Find a piece of contouring tape and align it along your hairline. This will be very helpful when you trace the area to be covered in step 3.

Step 2: Place the cling wrap on your head

When making a full cap, you want to place the cling wrap on your head</p

When making a full hat head template, a single piece of cling film will not be wide enough. So the first thing to do is to take two pieces of cling film that are about 3 feet long and align the two pieces of cling film and glue the two pieces together with tape. This way, you will have a large cling film that is 2 feet wide and 3 feet long.?

Next, wet your head with water and brush any hair as flat as possible. This will keep the cling wrap from sliding around and allow you to get a tight fit against your scalp.

Lay the cling wrap over your head, adjusting it to cover the entire head with some extra cushion in the front and back, and that you leave equal lengths of cling wrap on each side. Twist the two ends of the wrap together and tie a knot. Make sure the cling wrap fits snugly over your head, but don’t stretch it, as it will shrink when you remove it.

It is important to make sure that the wrap lays smoothly and flatly on your scalp. To keep the wrap flat over your ears, make a small cut in the wrap just below the top edge of your ears. Release your ear from the wrap and hook the remaining wrap behind your ear, making sure it is smooth and flat, then secure it with tape.

Step three. Stroke the covered area

<p

Use a permanent marker to draw the area you want your wig to cover. When drawing the lines, make them thin and visible. If the line is too thick, we won’t be able to tell if you want the edge of the wig to be at the top, middle, or bottom of the line.

Mark your crown area with a cross mark.

Step 4. Place the tape on your head

First place two pieces of tape on your head

Start by applying two pieces of tape to the front and two pieces to the neck area. This helps keep the template in place. Then tape from the front to the back and from one side to the other, making sure each area is covered with tape. Then apply a second layer of tape vertically from top to bottom.

Step 5. Cut out the template</p

Slowly remove the template from your head. Then cut out the template, leaving a half-inch buffer outside the line you drew earlier. Then redraw the line around your overlay area so that it is clean and visible.
